Phyllis Knepley age 66 of Greensboro, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born December 2, 1951 in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Carl Cleek and Louise Nunley Carnes. She attended Knightstown High School. Also was a homemaker and attended New Beginnings and Life Source.
Survivors include her sons: Scott (wife Stephanie) Knepley of Spiceland, and Mikel (wife Annie) Knepley of Knightstown. Sisters Gayle (husband Bill) Lester, Beverly Cleek of Anderson, brother Russel Cleek of Greensboro and sister Brittany (husband Bryan) McMullen. Sister-in-law, Linda Cleek and family friend Linda Richey. Grandchildren Kennadi, Kain, Kole Knepley, step grandchildren Alijah and Christian Forbes. Along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband David Knepley, mother Louise Carnes, step father William C. Carnes, father Carl Leon Cleek, brother Lonnie Cleek.
Services will be Monday at 1pm at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Pastor Paul Lawson and Pastor Mort Radford will be officiating. Burial will follow in Hicksite Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 11am-1pm prior to service at the funeral home.
