Jerry Wilburns Rigney age 75 of New Castle passed away Thursday July 16, 2009 at his home.
He was born Feb. 21, 1934 in Wayne County, Kentucky the son of the late Printice Harrison Rigney and Flora Bell Daniel Rigney. He was a mechanic at City Tire Store in New Castle.
He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in New Castle.
Survivors include his wife Alma Jean Worley Rigney, 2 daughters Verlie Mae (Bruce) Hinton of New Castle, Marilyn Faye (Ron) Perdue of New Castle, grandchildren Ammy Marie Hinton, Bruce Wayne Hinton Jr., Joshua Aaron Hinton, Ronald Alan Perdue Jr., Gina Marie Bratton, Amanda Mae Pribble. Great grandchildren Lindley Aaron Humbles, Kailey Michelle Hinton, Hunter James Hinton, Hailey June Hinton, Margaret Grace Hinton, Dakota James Perdue, Tyler Alan Perdue, Riley Marie Perdue, Amiyah Breann Pribble, Kollin Levi Pribble, Kiara Lynn Pribble, brother J.D Rigney of TN., sister Mary Elizabeth Rigney of TN.
Preceded in death by brothers Printice Harrison, Clyde Thomas, Lymon Earl Rigney, sisters Flossie Marie Rigney, Bessie Pearl Rigney.
Services will be Monday July 20, 2009 at 2 PM at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Bishop Mike Perdue will be officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.marcumfuneralhome.com
