Harold B. Ottinger age 88 of Carthage passed away Tuesday morning November 9, 2010 at his home.
He was born July 11, 1922 in Zionsville, Indiana the son of the late Francis and Ocal Brown Ottinger. He worked at Detroit Steel and retired in 1987. He was in the U.S Army during WWII and was a member of the VFW #2693 in Greenfield.
He is survived by his children: son Daniel (Rita) Ottinger, daughters Peggy Wagoner and Marlena Bousman (Steve), 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, many great great grandchildren, 2 brothers Russell and Floyd both of Sheridan, IN, sister Barbara Jean of Indianapolis.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy, daughter Norma Adams. 2 sons Harold Jr., Byron Leroy, 4 sisters, 3 broths, twin brother and sister in infancy, grandson Danny Henline, granddaughter Tammy Henline, great granddaughter Pamela Sue Arnett.
Services will be Friday November 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Eugene Bousman will be officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. My love and prayers go out to all my family and friends. Papa will be greatly missed. There is not one life that has come into contact with Papa that they didn't leave with a smile upon their face and a permenant joy and smile in their heart. He was loved by all who knew him. He is at peace now in Heaven with all the family that has gone on before him. I love ya Papa
