James O. Martin age 73 of New Castle passed away Tuesday November 10, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 25, 1936 in Monticello, Kentucky the son of the late Charles and Artie Martin. He was in the U.S Navy and worked at Furrows in Muncie. He was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Lucille, children: Debbi (John) Summit of Gaston, IN, Connie Willis of Louisiana, Tonya (Bob) Snider of Roanoke, Indiana, John Martin of Louisiana, step children: Jeffrey Dickerson of Florida and Barbara Dickerson of New Castle, brothers Johnny Martin of New Castle, Billy Martin (Fay) of Oklahoma, Phil (Sharolyn) Martin of Kokomo, Danny (LouAnn) Martin of Aurora, IN.
Preceded in death by his parents, son Tommy and brother Ralph Martin.
Services will be Monday November 16, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition.
