Roy Troxell age 79 of New Castle passed away Friday October 16, 2009 at Henry Co. Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Indiana.
He was born August 16, 1930 in Monticello, Kentucky the son of Clyde and Goldie (Wright) Troxell and they precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife Marie Troxell of New Castle, IN; 6-step daughters: Clara Coomer of Nancy KY.; Giraldine Williams of Richmond, IN; Charlene Sneed of Science, KY; Debbie Young of New Castle, IN; Donna Branham of New Castle, IN; Diane Moore of New Castle, IN; 1-stepson- Tom Norman of New Castle, IN; 1- sister, Betty Davidson of Muncie, IN; 1- brother William Troxell of Illinois
Preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister and 2 brother. .
Services will be Wednesday October 21, 2009 at 1 PM at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call Noon until 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. George Davidson will be officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.marcumfuneralhome.com
There's so many memories about Uncle Roy. I had just seen him alive & well almost 2 1/2 months after we buried Grandpa. This is very unexpected,& heartbreaking for us all. We just have to remind ourselves that he's not suffering. We also have to remember the good times we had with him. Yes I'm going to miss him, but that's what I have to keep in mind. I hope the family
finds comfort from God as well as family, & friends.

The last time I saw my Great Uncle Roy L. "Toots" Troxell was at my Grandpa Floyd S. Troxell's funeral. We will miss Uncle Roy very much and have wonderful memories when he was here. We love you Uncle Roy.
