Mary E. Rising age 92 of Connersville and formerly of New Castle passed away Sunday January 17, 2010 at Caroleton Manor Nursing Home in Connersville.
She was born November 1, 1917 in Floyd County, Indiana the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie L. Lopp Miller. She was a housewife and homemaker.
Survivors include her children: daughters Elizabeth (Charles) Couch of Orlando, Florida, Carolyn Davis of Brookville, Indiana, sons Jerry W. Rising of New Castle and Richard L. Rising of Muncie, 17grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren. Brother Donald Miller of Paoli, Indiana.
Preceded in death by her parents, daughter Mary Lou Wood, sister Jacie Martin, brothers Forrest Miller and Charles Miller.
There will be a memorial service Friday January 22, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Pastor John Steward will be officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00 AM- 2:00 PM Friday. Online condolences can be made at www.marcumfuneralhome.com
