Ray C. "Slim" Williams age 81 of New Castle passed away Friday February 12, 2010 at the Waters of New Castle.
He was born May 3, 1928 in Albany, Kentucky the son of the late Willie Mac and Bessie Duvall Williams. He retired from New Castle Saw Mill after 20 years. He was a Baptist by faith.
Survivors include his children: Linda (Eugene) Williams Sells of New Castle, Margie (Donald) Williams Strunk of Eldorado, Ohio, Larry Williams of Kentucky, Robert (Jeania) Williams of Hilliard, Ohio, Kathy (William) Williams Mefford of Knightstown, Angela (Jason) Williams Zentz of New Castle, brother Roger Williams of New Castle.
23 Grandchildren: Jeff (Amy) Sells of Alexandria, Kelly (Tammy) Sells of Mooreland, Brad (Holly) Sells of New Castle, Donna Strunk Kilgore (Terry Messer) of Connersville, Stephanie Strunk (Rob) Harbaum of Alexandria, Ohio, Kristy Strunk (David Miller) of Eldorado, Ohio, Andrew (Shannon) Williams of Brandenburg, KY, Keith (Jennifer) Williams of Louisville, KY, Jennifer Williams of Elizabethtown, KY, Matthew Williams (Odessa Taylor) of Richmond, Emilee Williams of Centerville, Aaron Williams of Norfolk, Virginia, Ryan (Missy) Myers of Lewisburg, Brandon (Margie) Mefford of Knightstown, Nicole Mefford Russo of Kentucky, Brittany Williams of Knightstown, Justin Mefford of Knightstown, Christopher Mefford of Knightstown, Steven Dale (Morgan Kincaid) of New Castle, Kelsey Dale of Hagerstown, Victoria Zentz of New Castle, Evan Zentz of New Castle, 19 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife Myrtie Covey Williams whom he married May 7, 1949, brothers J.T Williams and Lee Williams, sisters Pearl Smith and Marie Duvall. Grandchild Jeffery Ray Williams.
Services will be Tuesday February 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Friends may call Monday 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery.

Linda , Margie and family, I am so sorry to see of Ray passing. Youall will sure be in ;my prayers and thoughts. I am Betty Jean, daughter of Dorothy Neal and granddaughter of Zula Neal. I sure did love your mother. I look at her photos every once in awhile. Seems just yesterday we would all be at grandmas, (Aunt Zula), youall called her.
