Michael Howard Hicks age 37 of New Castle passed away unexpectedly Wednesday October 28, 200. A lifelong resident of New Castle, Michael was born on April 4, 1972.
Michael loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his kids. He had a big heart and strong desire to become a better father, brother and son for the people he loved the most.
He is survived by one daughter Clare and two daughters in spirit, Nikki and Victoria York. Also by his mother Juanita Hicks, his father Howard Hicks, two sisters Shawn Hicks of New Castle and Shannon Siegel (David) of Indianapolis, one nephew Patrick, special family friend Barb Dickerson and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his much loved maternal grandmother Nellie Bertram, other grandparents and other family members.
Service will be Monday November 2, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Disbro will be officiating. Friends may call 11 AM- 1PM prior to the service on Monday. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.marcumfuneralhome.com

Jewell/Shannon/Shawn and family. I am so sorry for your loss. I haven't seen Michael in a long time, but hold lots of memories of us growing up and playing whiffle ball in your backyard. My prayers are with all of you.
