William S. Shelley age 81 of New Castle passed away Sunday April 20, 2008 at The Waters of New Castle following an extended illness.
He was born August 4, 1926 in New Castle the son of the late Kenneth and Bertha Clark Shelley. He worked at Coca Cola for 18 years and Sears for 21 years. He was a 1944 graduate of New Castle High School and attended the Park Place Free Methodist Church.
He is survived by 3 daughters Cynthia (Gary) Armstrong of Pennsylvania, and Diana Smith of Indianapolis, Sandy Taylor (husband Robert) of Carthage. A son Mike Shelley of Georgia.
11 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. 2 Great great grandchildren , 1 sisters Mary (Raymond) Smith of New Castle. Several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by a daughter Pat Shelley, 1 brother and 4 sisters.
Services will be 10 AM Wednesday April 23, 2008 at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Sheilds and Rev. Darrell Parsons will be officiating. Friends may call 4-8 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Garden. Memorial contributions may be given to the Diabetes Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
