James "Jimmie" Neal Jr.
James "Jimmy" Rankin Neal Jr. age 44 of New Castle passed away Thursday April 17, 2008 at his home.
He was born August 10, 1963 in Springfield, Illinois the son of James Rankin Sr. and Betty Lou Jessee Neal. He worked as a volunteer at the Henry County Animal Shelter, also the City Parks and South Mound Cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, paternal Grandmother Dorothy Bell Neal, also 2 daughters Brandy Nicole Neal and Stephanie Renae Neal both of New Castle; 2 grandchildren Aaliyah Claouse of New Castle and Braden Claouse of New Castle; sisters Rebecca Lenz of New Castle, Dorothy (Lou) Murphy (companion Danny) of New Castle, Victoria Conner (husband Mitchell) of Lewisville, Charles "Chuck" Neal (companion Stacy Marcum) of New Castle, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Also his dog "Sparky".
Preceded in death by his grandfather Charles Neal, maternal grandparent Dorothy Roberts, 2 uncles Ernest Skeens and Roger Skeens, 2 aunts Esther Schmitt and Katherine Converse.
Services will be Monday April 21, 2008 at 2 PM at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Stewart will be officiating.
