Marvin Gleason Asberry age 87 of New Castle passed away Wednesday December 7, 2011 at Henry County Hospital.
He was born April 2, 1924 in Albany, Kentucky the son of the late Joe and Della Watkinson Asberry. He worked at Dana Corp. for 35 years and retired in 1977.
He is survived by his wife Ethel, daughters Zena (Bob) Russell, Patti Young, Jewell Jasper, Jean (Jim) Triplett, Dianna (Donny) Hodge. Son Gary (Diana) Asberry. 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Sister Coleen Catron.
Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harlen and Dallas Asberry, sisters Lucille Kelsay, Alta Foster and son in law Butch Young.
Services will be Monday December 12, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 AM- 2PM Monday prior to service. I always thought the world of Marvin. I remember him as a hard worker and a very much of a family man that took good care of his family. He will sure be missed by me and others. My best wishes go out to Ethel and all of the kids. Yours Truly, Larry
