Pat E. McPhillips age 58 of New Castle passed away at her home.
She was born January 29, 1953 in Midland, Michigan the daughter of Michael and Dorothy Kwilinski McPhillips. She was a graduate of All Saints High School and a graduate of Central Michigan University in 1971, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Child Development. She enjoyed working with adolescents as a Substance Abuse Counselor at CMHS, where she worked for over 20 years. When not working she enjoyed spending time with her family at their cottage in Lake City, Michigan. Also she was a board member with the Christian Recovery House in New Castle.
Survivors include her parents, son Matthew McPhillips, brothers: John, Jerome, Michael, Dennis and Joe McPhillips, sisters: Colleen Malenfant, Maureen Blocker, Mary McPhillips, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday December 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the St. Anne Catholic Church. Friends may call from 11AM-2 PM Monday at the church. Father Joe Rautenberg will be officiating. Marcum Community Funeral Home is handling the local arrangements. There will be a service Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 11AM at Cunningham-Taylor Funeral Home in Auburn, Michigan. Friends may call 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
