Carolyn S. Surber age 69 of New Castle passed away Wednesday August 25, 2010 at her home.
She was born May 16, 1941 in Portland, Indiana the daughter of the late Mearl and Loretta Willenburg White. Married to the late G. Tom Surber December 28, 1985. She retired from the State Hospital after 20 years, enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing bingo and bowling.
Survivors include her daughters Deronda Simpson of Gloucester, VA., Stephanie Rowe of New Castle, sons Keith Morris (companion Tina Coffey) of New Castle, Dean Morris (companion Sabrina Gosser) of New Castle, special daughter in laws Tina Morris of Mt. Summit, Julie Morris of New Castle, special son law Tommy Fannin, step children Natalie Shaw of Winnepeg, Canada, George (Angalina) Surber of Irmo, SC., Linda (husband Victor) Harper of Sumpter, SC., Janie Webb of Sumpter, SC, Joann Stiles of Dalzell, SC., grandchildren Darcy (husband Ken) Halliwill of Gloucester, VA., Misty Stephens ( companion Keith Jones) of New Port News, VA., Michael Hicks of Kentucky, Chris, Amy, Kyle Morris of New Castle, Darek, Zach Morris of New Castle, Matt, Katie, Corey Rowe of New Castle, Bobbi Meyer of New Castle, Holly, T.J Fannin of New Castle, 12 great grandchildren.
Preceded by her parents, husband G. Tom Surber, son Troy Morris, 2 daughters Robin Morris and Deborah Fannin, brother Danny White, sister Joyce Sharp..
Services will be Monday August 30, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Marcum Community Funeral Home. Friends may call from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Monday prior to service. Rev. Jay Vincent will be officiating.
