Lola Mae Haskins age 79 of New Castle passed away Wednesday January 4, 2012 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center.
She was born December 9, 1932 in Jamestown, TN., the daughter of the late Welby and Hettie Jaynes Lankford. She was a cook at various places for over 35 years. She was a member of Turning Pointe Life Center, she enjoyed teaching Sunday school, flower arranging and was apart of Foster Grandparents.
Survivors include her children: Don (Lisa) Perry, Rick Perry, Jim Perry, Sandy (Robert) Dye, John Perry, Joe (Loretta) Perry, Jola (Jerry) Williams, Brian (Karen) Haskins, son in law Danny Delk, sister in law Delilah Perry. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. 3 brothers Mike, Edward and Don Lankford. 1 sister Hazel Evans.
Preceded in death by her parents, children Pastor Ron Perry, and Betty Delk, 2 sisters Roxie Hawkins and Jeannie Reginhart.
Services will be Monday January 9, 2012 at 1pm at Turning Point Life Center. Pastor Matt Perdue, Pastor Jeff Jaco and Rev. Gary McCutchen will be officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 pm at Marcum Community Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lola Haskins memorial fund c/o Marcum Community Funeral Home. We mourn the loss of our precious Sister in the Lord. She had many trials and sufferings in this world, Thank God they have are passed! She is at rest, at peace and will never have pain or suffering again! She was a very vocal witness for the Lord! She was a very special blessing to us! We will miss her, but look forward to a happy reunion in heaven when the Lord calls us
to join her! We will dance around the throne with Sis. Lola - No walkers! No wheelchairs!! We Love you Sister!!

There aren't any certain words to say how sorry I am about this situation. It's heartbreaking when we have to go through this. I lost my grandpa in 2009 & it's still hard. I graduated with Ryan in high school & he was a nice guy. Even though this is hare, remember the good times & that your loved onw isn't suffering. Just depend on God, family & friends to help you get better.
